Y’all, I have to take a short break from the blogging business. My dog, Abby, has swallowed something that obviously doesn’t want to depart her little body, so surgery is scheduled for 7:00am in the morning. I thought that the days of baby-proofing my house were long gone, so guess I’ll have to get back to the basics after this episode.
I’ll return in a couple of days.
Update: Abby’s surgery apparently went okay, and she can come home in a couple of days. The vet said that she had injested some type of yarn-like material. He said that he would save it so that I can see what it is. Hmm. I’ll be interested in knowing if it’s from my new shag rug in the living room…

The worst my dog has done is eaten a shoe. Literally. Ate all the leather parts and left the rubber sole behind. I wasn’t too mad since she’d had her choice of two pairs of shoes: those for my wedding the following week or a pair for the pre-wedding formal ‘rehearsal’ meal . She ate the latter, which were cheaper and not dyed to match my dress.
Poor puppy. I hope everything goes well with you and with Abby.

Big H told me about the surgery. Hope everything turns out okay. Guess that’s the good thing about having a big dog; their systems can handle it…or the just puke it back up as is the case with my “man eater”.
