Apparently, my friend Sophie at A Hole in the Fence thinks that my blog rocks! I’m glad that someone thinks so. And in light of this achievement, she has bestowed upon me a Rockin’ Girl Blogger award! I think that I deserve a glass of wine. Or two. And maybe some cheese.
Thank you, Sophie! I would obviously love to return the award to you, but you’ve already been honored for your awesomely, wonderful writing abilities of which I am completely envious. When I grow up, I want to be smart and gifted just like you.
**************
So, in the spirit of the Rockin’ Girl Blogger award, I must pass this award on to other girl bloggers who I think rock. And here they are:
- Alpha Dogma: A very smart, witty, and sassy Canadian. And as terrified as I am to leave comments on her blog, I normally do, and end up sounding like a complete buffoon. But fortunately, she let’s me stick around even though I’m completely out of her league. She definitely rocks!
- An Island Life: Kailani writes about her wonderful life in Hawaii working as an airline stewardess and raising two of the most adorable munchkins that I’ve ever seen. A dream life, if you ask me. Plus, she always clues you in on the latest giveaways going on in the blogosphere.
- Miss Doxie: Truly, truly, a blog that makes me laugh out loud every time I read it. Miss Doxie is a young attorney living in Atlanta who writes about her quirky life with her boyfriend, El Dukay, and a flock of miniature dauschunds. She also sells the funniest weiner cards and related items at her online store, Shop Doxie.
- Follow That Elephant: I’ve mentioned this blog before here. Superkimbo is an American teacher living and teaching overseas in Asia. Not only is she a great writer, but she takes some remarkable travel photos.
- One Woman Show: Susan often comments on my blog, for which I am highly appreciative. Someone actually reads my fluff! For that alone, she deserves this award. Hell, she might even deserve a bottle of wine. But seriously, I love reading Susan’s stories about her dating experiences, raising her children, and writing a novel. She always keeps it light and entertaining.
So, girls, feel free to present this award to anyone that you feel deserving. Or not. It’s up to you. I just wanted you all to know that you rock!

Lulu, thanks for the Rockin’ Girl Blogger and a Thinking Blogger Award right back at ya. (Sorry, Mamcita granted me this a few weeks back and I’m slow on passing the torch. I’ll have it up by tomorrow. You’ve been on my list all along, honest.)
I enjoy your tales and writing style. You even make mailboxes funny.
I must tell my kids I’m a rockin’ girl. Maybe that makes me cool?! Yeah, right.
Thank you so much! I really love what you did with the award button – so creative. I’m definitely snagging that!
Thank you for the flattery.
What is with the fear? Are you overwhelmed by my wanton misuse of punctuation? My need to wield mockery like a weapon as I add an extraneous -u to neighbour, labour and ardour?
Gosh, thanks for the compliments!
Hey – you deserve the recognition. Kudos to you.
Thanks Lulu! You totally rock!
