Take a Deep Breathe. Now Exhale Slowly…

I’m still here, y’all.  Trying to remember to breathe amongst the stress of the job and the cooking.

Actually, today is the deadline for the project that a co-worker and I have been diligently working on for the past several months, and it looks like we’ll finish with a few hours to spare!  Yahoo!  At least one portion of my life will slip back into some resemblance of normalcy after today.  Now, if I can just make it through this Thanksgiving weekend, the muscles in my shoulders and neck might relax enough so that I’m not wincing in pain every five minutes.  I’m such a cry-baby.

Y’all, there’s been so much going on that I’m dying to blog about, but my laptop has gone untouched for six full days in a row (gasp!), and now I’m starting to feel a bit guilty about not writing and for not visiting all of my blogging buddies.  Sorry!  Bear with me.  I hope to be back on track with things next week.  And I promise—no talk of stress!  Because the stress that I’m feeling has obviously been very apparent and freaking annoying to everyone I come into contact with—especially my co-workers.  Case in point, this morning I received the following birthday gifts from them:

  • Satin Sleep Mask
  • Tension Tamer Celestial Seasonings Tea
  • Lifescapes Music for Stress Relief
  • L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream
  • L’Occitane Lavender Soap

Now, if I can just find the time to actually make a cup of tea, sit in a bath, or sleep, then life will be good.  And my co-workers might love me again.

Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving weekend, y’all!

Seriously. Wine would have been at the top of my gift-giving list!
