Sometimes the Clothes Do Not Make the Man

Truly, I am not a fashion plate.  In fact, I’m pretty sure that I make fashion don’ts on a regular basis.  And after watching five (5) straight hours (and counting!) of a What Not to Wear marathon, it’s likely that I’ll be setting my closet on fire.  But only after the last episode is over at 2:30am.  And only if it’s physically possible for me to rouse my body from this horizontal position that I’ve been in all day—moving only to make my way to and from the kitchen for Diet Coke, oatmeal cream pies, and doses of Dexatrim.

It’s just been one of those days, people.

Your clothes are fine. Those people don’t know what they’re talking about. I’ve seen some of the stuff they try to get people to wear. And sometimes? They miss the mark, considerably. Oh, and another also? I say just stay on the couch altogether. Make a night of it. Happy slothing!

Dexatrim and oatmeal pies! I love it!

I love watching What Not to Wear — sometimes I love Stacy and Clinton and sometimes they really get on my nerves. Sometimes I’m tempted to dress really horribly in the hopes that someone will nominate ME — just for the new wardrobe!

I did not watch the marathon..but I new it was on..I only say parts of 3 episodes..
I’m surprised that I haven’t been sent to the show myself. I’d LOVE to party with Stacy and Clinton..they look so fun. Did you see that one last night where Clinton says, “Don’t look at me when you say tootie fruity”…

I am a walking fashion don’t, and proud of it. If it’s comfortable I wear it. Matching is good if I can, but it’s not necessary.

I have no fashion sense. And I don’t think the designers have any sense at all. So, I wear jeans and t-shirts and a grubby motorcycle jacket. Works for me. ;)

Oh, I so love those days. I have promised myself more of them this year! Yesterday was one for me as well - didn’t do a lick of work all day… It was too cold to go to church, (yes, that’s a viable excuse) my husband took care of the dogs for the day, and I was a bum and it was GLORIOUS! (when reading glorious… give yourself a Joanne Worley tone in your voice and say it loud… if you don’t remember Joanne Worley… then just shut up and forget about it!)

I like the fashion advice on that show, but the dippy make-up artist makes everyone look like a tranny. I’m sure you are quite stylish…you aren’t still letting your mother make you wear Eskimo coats, are you?
