I see movie's for free..my brother in law works for a large movie chain and we get 2 free tickets to any movie. Problem is the card is my husbands...so if he doesn't go with me I have to make him go buy the tickets..which is a pain. I tend to see chick flicks by myself. Did you see Becoming Jane? My mother in law and I saw that together. LOVED IT! I have seen Mama Mia a few times on stage and totally love it, so does hubby..that one he'll go see with me!! mp's last blog post..Answer Time.... Wow!

I’ve only walked out on one movie. And I’ve been to a LOT of movies. It was The Producer–went to see in New Year’s Eve 2000, last one in GA, and it was so bad we walked out. Horrid.

But is it really Fandango’s fault? They have those cute paper-bag puppets and all.

I find that Hollywood has a hard time following a book. I’m often disappointed… that said, I try to enjoy a movie based on it’s own merit. They shouldn’t market it according to the book–because the book only inspires the movie when it can’t really follow it.

Heck, all those Harry Potter movies followed the books okay, but there’s so much more in a book that cannot be conveyed in a 2-hour flick.

I go to movies alone all the time. I love that. And I always–always–sneak in my own food, mainly because I can’t really eat anything they offer. And I’m weak. If I didn’t bring something I can safely nibble, I’ll go get one of those cinnabon pretzels and have to be hauled out in an ambulance.

Lulu – you should have asked me…you know I’ll never get Phoo to go see The Other Boelyn Girl! Hands down one of my most favorite books! But be warned…Phillipa Greggory has one interesting mind. I purchased Wideacre (another of her series)…let’s just say after a few encounters, very DESCRIPTIVE encounters, between brother and sister…I was a might grossed out!

Now Colin Firth in a movie about a musical about Abba? Colin Firth…oh so yummy!

Well bugger! I really wanted to see that movie too. It looks so yummy in the previews plus I have been catching up on last season of The Tudors in preparation for the new season. I love history. Now that I’ve read your review though, I’ll wait until I can rent it and then decide. Like you, I can’t justify spending that kind of money on popcorn in the theatre. It just seems like such a waste.

Colin Firth?! I think I need to lie down.

I love going to the movies myself. I ALWAYS smuggle in stuff. Got a bigger purse for it. Now Sweetness smuggles stuff too. Protein bars, coke zero, iced tea, candy… I could fit nachos in this bad boy! I might actually…
